Dr. Alison Evert

Dr. Alison Evert (formally Dr. Alison Schmidt) is a compassionate optometrist who strives to provide the best care for her patients. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2010, and spent a semester at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Dr. Evert went on to graduate from SUNY College of Optometry in 2015, where she was able to participate in a mission trip to Nicaragua and provide eye care and glasses to an underserved population.

Dr. Evert is passionate about making sure her patients vision and eye care needs are met. Her goal is to make sure her patients know all of their options regarding their vision care needs and leave seeing their best, whether it be with multifocal, toric or spherical contact lenses or glasses. She is proficient in treating and managing ocular disease, including red eyes, dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy etc. Dr. Evert is also experienced in myopia management - helping to slow the progression of nearsightedness in kids with the use of low dose atropine, multifocal contact lenses and orthokeratology.

In her free time, Dr. Evert likes to spend time with her husband, son and dog. She loves the outdoors, hiking, spending time at the beach and on the boat.
