We are pleased to offer routine eye examinations for both adults and children here at Professional Vision Care. But when we talk about comprehensive service, we mean more than just that. The goal of our Commack optometrist is to promote the highest level of ocular health possible, to make certain that your vision is as sharp and clear as you're able to have, and to take care of urgent matters when necessary.
All adults should visit our Commack optometrist once per year to get a complete eye examination. This includes both screenings for common eye diseases, and tests to determine how good your vision is right now, and whether or not you need a prescription for corrective eyewear. Among the eye diseases that are addressed are glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Our Commack optometrist conducts contact lens exams, which are more detailed than standard exams. And if you are considering having LASIK done to have long term vision improvement, why not take advantage of our co-management and consultation services? Get examined and qualified for LASIK, get your questions answered, and make sure that you're prepared for the procedure. Kids should have their eye exams at least once every two years, with the first one occurring by the time that he or she is ready to start school. Childhood conditions like amblyopia, strabismus, and droopy eyelid are all checked for. Vision therapy is available to address the effects of childhood eye conditions that remain into adulthood. And when you or your child have an eye emergency, anything from a foreign object in the eye to discharge to vision loss, don't hesitate to contact our Commack optometrist office for prompt attention.
Use our handy “request an appointment” button at the top of our website or call us to book a time to come in. We even have Saturday hours for your convenience.
